Easy Approaches to Minds and Hearts

Respect and Appreciation

We respect the elderly and those in positions of authority because they are important.
Do you know one person in the world who believes they are unimportant?
Agree with the other person that they are important, and they will agree with you on everything.

Respect and Appreciation

  • We respect the elderly and those in positions of authority because they are important.
  • Do you know one person in the world who believes they are unimportant?
  • Agree with the other person that they are important, and they will agree with you on everything.

Tolerance and Seeking Excuses

  • How can you blame people for mistakes you yourself could make?
  • We see our own mistakes as small and find excuses for them, while the mistakes of others are large and unforgivable.
  • Make correcting the mistake seem easy and renew the mistaken person's confidence.

Understand the Other Person's Point of View

  • Every person always believes they are right and that their opinions are logical.
  • Even if you disagree with someone and are sure they are wrong, try to understand their point of view.
  • Belittling the opinions of others drives them to resist.

Seek Common Ground

  • There are always points that everyone agrees on; start from them and do not focus on points of difference.
  • Do not talk about your interest; talk about the common interest.

Admiration and Sincere Praise

  • No matter how bad a person is, there must be a trait worthy of admiration and praise.
  • Look for the positive aspect in the other person and direct praise and thanks. Do this sincerely so it doesn't turn into hypocrisy.

Address Noble Motives

  • Noble motives may be buried under the rubble of greed and self-interest, but they do not vanish.
  • Address the human aspects in a person, and they will surprise you with more than you expect.
  • You will not succeed if you do not do this with sincerity and genuineness, as falseness is easy to detect.

Remember the Names of Those You Meet

  • The dearest name to us is the name of the person we see whenever we look in the mirror.
  • Remember the name and repeat its use during the conversation; the other person will treat you with the utmost affection.

Maintain a Smile

  • A smile is a silent sign that lets others understand that you love and respect them.
  • A smile is beautiful when you are happy, but it is more beautiful when you are sad.
  • A smile is beautiful when you win, but it is more beautiful when you lose.
  • A smile is beautiful when you receive, but it is more beautiful when you give.
